Theatre Workshops at Craic!

01 July 2014

Willowbank Community Resource Centre facilitated Theatre Skills workshops at CRAIC Theatre, Coalisland. CRAIC are a local theatre company who are active in promoting skills and providing opportunities for people in the fields of performing arts, acting singing, dancing

Over a 4 week period the group built on their confidence and learnt new theatre skills culminating in the delivery of a scene from the popular musical Grease.

The workshops were part of a series of personal development workshops for people with disabilities who engaged with the Reaching Communities – Community Integration Project run by Willowbank and funded by BIG Lottery.  The workshops provided participants with an opportunity to increase their level of confidence while learning new theatre skills.  One participant said "I never thought I would ever have had the confidence to get up on stage, I really enjoyed our sessions at CRAIC."
