Willowbank Nominated for Community Inspiration Awards 2012
Springboard which was established in 1992 is a leading charity in developing and promoting an appreciation of diversity, In 2010 they launched the annual inspiration awards which recognise positive role models and their inspirational influence on others. Each year the Community Inspiration Awards to a different area within the community sector and in 2012 they are seeking to recognise an individual or team who volunteer/work in the disability service field. Willowbank are delighted that there team has been nominated by service users for this prestigious award. Springboard says “The award will celebrate and acknowledge those who demonstrate excellence, passion vision and commitment to the development of individuals with a disability to achieve their life goal, through upholding their rights and choices in a way that promotes inclusion”.
The award ceremony takes place on UN Peace Day on 21st September at Belfast City Hall where awards will be presented by the Lord Mayor.
