Invest NI in partnership with Disability Action recently hosted the Working for Me seminar in Belfast to raise awareness of the support available to disabled people who want to set up a business.

Invest NI in partnership with Disability Action recently hosted the Working for Me seminar in Belfast to raise awareness of the support available to disabled people who want to set up a business."

Thomas Fox pictured above is studying at Southern Regional College and is on work placement at Willowbank’s social enterprise Get up & Grow Garden Centre. Thomas was part of the Equality 2000 Big Lottery Funded Transitions project based at Willowbank in Dungannon and is keen when he has completed his studies to set up his own garden maintenance business. Ann McGlone Manager of Willowbank Ltd commented that the event was a great opportunity for entrepreneurs with disabilities to get first hand information from Invest NI and other contributors and congratulated Disability Action on taking this initiative.
